Our customers let us know when they want a “side” (also known as a “half” of beef). Then we take some animals that are ready for slaughter to the processor and call our customers & tell them the number of their side of beef. The customer then calls the processor and tells him how to cut their side of beef, (which means, they tell him how thick they want their steaks, etc.) The customer then mails us a check and picks up their beef at the processor.
Our sides of beef weigh about 200lbs., hanging weight, (we have small cattle). Beef is dense so this will fit into about 4 of the average picnic coolers you are familiar with. We charge $2.65/lb., hanging weight, and the processor charges $0.50/lb.. Contained within a side of beef is every cut of beef that exists. So you will have a cross section of every thing there is in the way of cuts of beef. If you haven’t done this before, please be aware that there is some shrink from the “hanging weight” to the cut weight. How much will depend on how you have it cut up.

We sometimes have fresh goat milk available for sale for your pets. The law prohibits sales of raw milk for human consumption, if you understand what I mean.
